Audio version of "Submerged" is out!
Hello, and welcome to this very short issue of Hacker Chronicles!
First of all, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And since we're still within the eight days, a Happy Hanukkah as well.
The reason I'm writing is that the audiobook version of Submerged is finally out! I know it's taken a long time. Kristin (the narrator) and I went through multiple iterations on about 30 chapters to get the tone and intensity right. She's fantastic at what she does, but reaching a shared vision takes some trial and error. I function as the director and she as the actor, if you will. The end result is stellar. Just what I wanted.
This time it's available on Spotify in many countries. They've expanded their audiobook offering a lot since my release of Identified.
- Submerged on Audible
- Submerged on Spotify
- Here's Identified on Spotify as well
- Submerged on Kobo
- Submerged on Apple Books

I'm working with the InAudio service to get it up on Storytel, etc., but the website is so clunky and buggy that it's been a struggle. Submerged has 135 chapters (I like short chapters!) and having to manage them one by one on a flaky webpage is frustrating to say the least. The last step is to copy/paste the 135 chapter titles. An AI agent should be able to do this for me—I know.
I hope your reading of Neuromancer is going well. In the January issue, I'll review Part 2, “The Shopping Expedition,” and Part 3, “Midnight in the Rue Jules Verne.”
